Stage Fright!

Beaky ran round pretending to give out presents.
Then she sat down and with eyes glowing she tapped
her nose and said,
‘and that's the end of the story.’
‘Tho it doth have a happy ending.’
‘Yes. In the end.’
‘Leaping liquorice. Sounds great!’ said Harry.
‘Leaping liquorice. Brill!’ said Hen. ‘Super spooky!’
‘Wait,’ cried Beaky suddenly, looking serious. ‘I’ve
just had a terrible thought. It’s a book not a play!’
‘You’re right,’ answered Cressida. ‘Just one thing
for it. We'll have to turn it into a play. We need
someone to write a script.’
Sophie looked surprised. Cressie was good at
thinking fast!
‘Please, please could I do that?’ said Beaky, finding
it hard to breath with excitement. Beaky’s dream was
to be a writer.
‘Beaky, you would be the perfect script writer!’
Beaky beamed and tapped her nose.
‘Leave it to me!’
‘But where are we going to perform the play?’ asked
Abby. Sophie's room was already squashed with eight
children and King Arthur.
‘Not in here!’ said Sophie.
