Without thinking about it she found herself reciting<br />

her speech that Scrooge makes in act one when he is<br />

furiously angry with his nephew for wishing him a<br />

Happy Christmas!<br />

‘Don't be such a crotchety old carbuncle dearest<br />

uncle!’ says the nephew.<br />

Scrooge replies,<br />

What else can I be<br />

When I live in such a world of fools<br />

Who bake their brains with revolting<br />

Merry Christmas rules?<br />

If I had my way every nitwit<br />

wishing me a merry season<br />

Would give me bloomin' good reason<br />

To boil them in their own plum pudding<br />

Chop them into mincemeat tart<br />

And bury them with a stake of holly<br />

through their heart!<br />

It was a dramatic speech and made Sophie feel<br />

much better. Elsa and Rosalie could be as mean and<br />

nasty and spiteful and gruesome as they liked but<br />

there was no way Sophie would let them spoil the<br />

show!<br />
