Sigourney Weaver wird in der Popkultur als<br />

kraftvolle, weibliche Ikone präsentiert, obwohl<br />

diverse ihrer Rollen die Idee des männlichen<br />

Filmblicks von Mulvey geradezu verkörpern,<br />

wodurch Weaver zum sexualisierten<br />

Objekt in ihren Charakterrollen wird. Der<br />

Kult-Horrorerzähler John Newland machte<br />

die Öffentlichkeit auf die Ambivalenz zwischen<br />

Weavers selektiver Erinnerung und<br />

ihren aktuellen cinematographischen Aufzeichnungen<br />

aufmerksam. Die Arbeit verspricht<br />

einen angemessenen Gebrauch aller<br />

urheberechtsgeschützten Materialien, wie in<br />

Absatz 107 des US-Urhebergesetzes vorgegeben.<br />

Sigourney Weaver is represented as a female<br />

power icon in pop culture, though several<br />

roles from her filmography epitomise Mulvey's<br />

notion of the Male Gaze, whereby<br />

Weaver is objectified and sexualised in the<br />

character personas she portrays. The iconic<br />

horror narrator John Newland draws public<br />

attention to the discord between Weaver's<br />

selective recollection and her actual cinematic<br />
