Nils Mühlenbruch is an independent
filmmaker and motion graphics
designer. He is involved in many
crossmedia projects both independent
and admissioned, such as
interactive flash animations,
Broadcast design and vj performances.

Heute ist jeder ein Rockstar.
Nowadays, everyone’s a rock star.
Philipp Eichholtz, *1982 in Hildesheim,
Germany, grown up in Osnabrück.
He made his first feature
film ›Meine Daten und Ich - Sicherheit
in Deutschland‹ in 2008. The
film arose from the feeling that
many of the new anti-terrorist acts
infringe upon the personal rights of
all citizens in Germany. The film was
discussed in Der Spiegel, Tipp
Berlin and Hessischer Rundfunk,
and received very good reviews.

›Drehort‹ Schreibtisch. Hinter
einem Post-It, auf dem Sänger Karl
Schwamberger (Laokoongruppe)
als gezeichnete Trickfigur performt,
rollt der Songtext zum Walzerkönig
karaoketauglich auf einem
Registrierkassenstreifen
vorüber. Daneben das Video im Video:
eine mit Leuchtstiften skizzierte
Bahnfahrt. Und von Zeit zu
Zeit offenbart auch der Regisseur
seine Existenz – wenn er zur Kaffeetasse
greift oder das Filmset zur
Miniatur-Heim-Disko umbaut.
Perfect stop-motion animation, ›location‹,
the desk. The singer Karl
Schwamberger (Laokoongruppe)
performs as an animated figure on
a stack of post-its, as the lyrics to
Walzerkönig roll past on a till roll.
Alongside there is a video within a
video, a train journey drawn with a
highlighter, and from time to time
the director reveals himself – grabbing
his coffee cup, or remodeling
the film set as a miniature home

Adnan Popovic has been studying
for his Diplom in Visual Arts at the
Akademie der bildenden Künste, Vienna
since 2007. 2006-2007 studied
Theatre, Film and Media Science at
the University of Vienna.
