EMAF-Ausstellung <strong>2011</strong><br />
›Planet M‹ – so der Gesamttitel der diesjährigen Ausstellungen, die allesamt<br />
in internationalen Kooperationen mit verschiedenen Kunstinstitutionen<br />
entstanden sind. Für ›Moving Stories‹ haben sechs Organisationen<br />
aus unterschiedlichen Ländern je eine mediale Installation ausgewählt,<br />
die auf dem EMAF präsentiert wird. Inhaltlich geht es bei allen Arbeiten<br />
darum, neue Formen der Erzählkunst zu erforschen und darzustellen.<br />
Für das EMAF hat die renommierte Künstlerin Candice Breitz als Beitrag<br />
zu Moving Stories eine neue Arbeit geschaffen, die sich mit Kinderdarstellungen<br />
im Bollywood-Film beschäftigt. Ein weiteres internationales<br />
Projekt ist ›Transit – European Young Talents Forum‹, dass in der Ausstellung<br />
im Rahmen des Media Campus 16 Arbeiten von Studierenden europäischer<br />
Kunsthochschulen präsentiert. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem<br />
Festival Vidéoformes in Clermont-Ferrand und dem Kunsthaus FLACC<br />
workspace in Genk fördert das EMAF auf diese Weise junge Talente aus<br />
sechs europäischen Ländern. Zum EMAF Länder-Special ›Japanese Media<br />
Art Now‹ werden in der Ausstellung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Japan<br />
Media Art Festival zwei aktuelle Installationen präsentiert.<br />
PLANET M - this year’s exhibitions - were all organised in cooperation<br />
with various international art institutions. For ›Moving Stories‹ six organisations<br />
from different countries selected one media installation each to<br />
be presented at the exhibition. These works address the subject of exploring<br />
and presenting new forms of narration.<br />
The renowned artist Candice Breitz has created a new piece especially<br />
for the EMAF to contribute to Moving Stories. Another international project<br />
is ›Transit – European Young Talents Forum‹, which will show 16 works<br />
by students from European art academies at the exhibition. In collaboration<br />
with the festival Videóformes in Clermont-Ferrand and the art center<br />
FLACC workspace in Genk, the EMAF is promoting young talented artists<br />
from six European countries. Furthermore, two current works of international<br />
renowned artist are presented within the EMAF Special ›Japanese<br />
Media Art Now‹ in co-operation with Japan Media Arts Festival.<br />
