die in der Projektion entstehenden<br />
Doppelbilder ergeben sich Überlagerungen<br />
im Zeit-Raum-Vakuum.<br />
Trance performance film sketches /<br />
motion sequences become individual<br />
segments, each of which, on its<br />
own, appears to be alienated, existing<br />
as an outlined study without a<br />
linear story line. The double images<br />
of the parallels created in the projection<br />
lead to a superimposition in<br />
the temporal/spatial vacuum.<br />

STRANGE LIGHTS<br />

In einer Winternacht im Jahre 1980<br />
beobachten amerikanische Soldaten<br />
›nicht zu erklärende Lichter‹ im<br />
Wald von Rendlesham. Der Vorfall<br />
ist seitdem Großbritanniens bekanntester<br />
UFO-Zwischenfall. Dieser<br />
Film kehrt 30 Jahre später, auf<br />
der Suche nach ähnlich ›unerklärlichen‹<br />
Ereignissen, an den Ort des<br />
Geschehens zurück.<br />
On a winter's night, 1980, American<br />
servicemen witnessed 'unexplained<br />
lights' in Rendlesham Forest.<br />
The incident has since become<br />
Britain's most famous UFO incident.<br />
This film revisits the forest,<br />
thirty years later, in search of similarly<br />
'inexplicable' events.<br />
Joe King & Rosie Pedlow are two<br />
British artist film-makers. Their<br />
work has been exhibited widely in<br />
the UK and internationally to wide<br />
critical acclaim. In 2008 they were<br />
awarded the inaugural Jerwood<br />
Moving Image Award for a previous<br />
collaborative work, Sea Change.<br />

FLYSCREEN<br />
Richard Tuohy<br />
Flyscreen ist ein ›Rayogramm‹-<br />
Film, der nicht mit einer Kamera<br />
hergestellt, sondern direkt auf<br />
16mm-Rohfilm belichtet wurde, indem<br />
ich Fliegengitter auf den Film<br />
legte und dann belichtete. Der Ton,<br />
den wir hören, ist der Lichtton, den<br />
die Bilder erzeugen, wenn sie den<br />
16-mm-Lichttonprojektor durchlaufen.<br />
Flyscreen is a camera-less ›rayogram‹<br />
film, made by layering flyscreen<br />
material onto raw 16mm<br />
film stock and then exposing to<br />
light. The sound heard is the optical<br />
sound of the images passing the<br />
16mm optical sound head.<br />
Richard Tuohy is one of the most<br />
active experimental film makers<br />
currently working on celuloid in<br />
Australia. His film ›Iron-Wood‹ won<br />
first prize (ex aequo) at ›Abstracta<br />
2009‹ experimental film festival in<br />
Rome. He runs Nanolab in Australia<br />
- the specialist small gauge film<br />
processing laboratory. While his academic<br />
background is in philosophy,<br />
Richard has been a practicing<br />
film maker since 1987.<br />
