VOM EMAF Das European Media Art Festival steht im Fokus einer 90-minütigen TV-Sendung. ›FilmFestSpezial-TV‹ berichtet über die Highlights des Festivals, spricht mit RegisseurInnen, SchauspielerInnen, ProduzentInnen, AutorInnen und KünstlerInnen, wirft einen Blick hinter die Kulissen und stellt die FestivalmacherInnen, Jurys und PreisträgerInnen vor. Filme des Wettbewerbsprogramms und der Retrospektive, ein Gang durch die Ausstellung ›Planet M‹, Berichte vom Kongress, Besuche bei Performances und weitere Programmpunkte stehen im Mittelpunkt der Sendung. ›FilmFestSpezial-EMAF 2011‹ wird am 12. Viewers will gain a glimpse behind the stage, and the festival team, juries and award-winners will be introduced. The broadcast will concentrate on the films in the competition programme and the retrospective. A guided tour of the exhibition ›Planet M‹ will be given, and there will be reports on the Congress, visits to performances and other programme elements. ›FilmFestSpezial-EMAF 2011‹ will be broadcast on the following citizens’ TV channels on 12 May 2011, and can also be viewed on the web as livestream on most channels: h1 Hannover, oeins Oldenburg, TV 38 Wolfsburg/Braunschweig, Radio Weser TV Bremen, ALEX Berlin, Tide-TV Hamburg, rok-tv Rostock, OK Kiel, OK Flensburg and OK Kassel . FILM- & VIDEOKOMMISSION 2011 Jennifer Jones, Studium der Kunstgeschichte /Kulturwissenschaft (USA und GB). Seit 1999 als Kuratorin und Produzentin in verschiedenen Kultur- und Filmprojekten tätig u.a. als Künstlerische Leiterin des Internationalen FrauenFilmFestivals Feminale Köln sowie für das EU MEDIA Digital Cinema Projekt 'Europe's Finest'. Weitere Projektarbeit u.a., für die Internationalen Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, das goEast Festival des Mittel- und Osteuropäischen Films sowie für das Kunstfilmbiennale Köln. Retrospektiven und thematische Filmprogramme. Seit 2009 Mitglied der Auswahlkommission für das Europäisches Kurzfilmfestival Unlimited in Köln. Jennifer Jones studied Art History / Cultural Studies (USA and England). Since 1999 active as curator and producer of diverse cultural and film projects, e.g., as Artistic Director for the International Women's Film Festival, Feminale,Cologne as well as for the EU MEDIA digital cinema project 'Europe's Finest.' Further project work, e.g., for the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, the goEast Festival of Middle and Eastern European Film and the Kunstfilmbiennale Cologne. Retrospectives and thematic programs. Since 2009 selection committee member for the European Short Film Festival, Unlimited in Cologne. Katrin Mundt, Freie Kuratorin und Autorin. Sie realisierte Filmprogramme und Ausstellungen u.a. für den Württembergischen Kunstverein Stuttgart, die Internationalen Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, den Hartware MedienKunstVerein, Dortmund, [plug.in], Basel und Intermediæ, Madrid. Ihre Textbeiträge erschienen zuletzt in Monografien zum Werk von Kevin J. Everson (Video Data Bank, 2010) und Michaela Schweiger (Revolver Verlag, 2011). Sie hatte Lehraufträge an der Merz Akademie Hochschule für Gestaltung, Stuttgart und ist derzeit Wissenschaftliche Assistentin an der HEAD Hochschule für Kunst und Design, Genf. Katrin Mundt, Independent curator and author. She has realised film programmes and exhibitions for, among others, Württembergischen Kunstverein Stuttgart, the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Hartware MedienKunstVerein, Dortmund, [plug.in], Basel and Intermediæ, Madrid. Her texts have recently appeared in publications about the work of Kevin J. Everson (Video Data Bank, 2010) and Michaela Schweiger (Revolver Verlag, 2011). She had a teaching position at the Merz Akademie University of Applied Arts, Stuttgart and is currently a Research Assistant at the HEAD University of Art and Design, Geneva. Florian Wüst, Studium der Freien Kunst in Braunschweig und Rotterdam (M.A.). Seit 2000 als Künstler und freischaffender Filmkurator tätig. Zahlreiche Filmreihen und –programme u.a. für Kino Arsenal, Berlin; Tate Modern, London; VideoZone, Tel Aviv; Österreichisches Filmmuseum, Wien; Impakt Festival, Utrecht; Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen. Autor und Mitherausgeber von Wer sagt denn, dass Beton nicht brennt, hast Du's probiert? Film im West-Berlin der 80er Jahre (Berlin 2008) und Experience Memory Re-enactment (Frankfurt am Main 2005). Florian Wüst, studied Fine Arts in Braunschweig and Rotterdam (M.A.). Since 2000 he works as an artist and freelance film curator. Numerous film series and programmes for, amongst others, Kino Arsenal, Berlin; Tate Modern, London; VideoZone, Tel Aviv; Austrian Filmmuseum, Vienna; Impakt Festival, Utrecht; International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. Ralf Sausmikat, Studium der Medien- und Literaturwissenschaften, 1986 Abschluss M. A. 1981 Gründung des Int. Experimentalfilm Workshop e.V. als Trägerverein des EMAF. Seit 1988 künstlerische Leitung des EMAF, Ausstellungen, Film, Video und Retrospektiven. Seit 1995 Fachreferent des Goethe- Institut München. Kurator für ›From Analog Dreams to Digital Visions‹, HongKong 2001, Kurator für ›Turbulent Screen‹ Edith-Ruß-Haus für Medienkunst, Oldenburg 2003. Ralf Sausmikat, studied media sciences and Literature graduated in 1986 with a Magister Artium. 1981 International Experimentalfilm Workshop e.V. (Founding Member). Since 1988 artistic director of EMAF for exhibitions, films, videos and retrospectives. Consultant for the Goethe-Institute Munich, for the German Experimental Film of the 80' and 90's programmes. Curator of ›From Analog Dreams to Digital Visions‹, HongKong 2001 and of ›Turbulent Screen‹, an exhibition and cinema project on structural approaches in film and video, for the Edith-Russ-Site for Media Art, Oldenburg 2003. 33
