Il décide d’apprendre la langue occitane. L’échange des langueset la passion réciproque des amants précipitent la levée du siège et permettent de conclure la paixentre les deux camps. In the 10th century, during a siege of the townby the Saracens, the Emir tooks delight in his passion for the poetry of the troubadours and the songsof the noble lord’s daughter. He decided to learn the langue d’oc spoken in southern France. Theexchange of languages and the shared passion of the lovers soon led to the lifting of the siege andallowed the two camps to make peace.
