Body<br />
Objectives:introduce a new developed technique for treatment of sialolithi<strong>as</strong>is,by using two<br />
types of energy(electrohydraulic lithotripser) while sialoendoscopy apply whitout any surgical<br />
intervention.<br />
Method and materials:sialoendoscopy is performed with patients seated or supine,using local<br />
ane<strong>as</strong>thesia for nerve and papillae(orifice dilated,can accommodate the endoscope).endoscope<br />
have two channel(working,irrigation),injected saline through irrigation channel clear the<br />
stone,concretment,mocus plug founded in sjogren syndrome and chronic parotits in children.<br />
electrohydraulic lithotripter probe inserted into working channel,1-2mm distance between<br />
stone and probe is necessary,send shock wave directly to stone,started to generate the wave at<br />
10 hz,shot number at 1,then incre<strong>as</strong>ed the voltage level and shot number at 3,stone break into<br />
small pieces while irrigating the area with saline.at the end irrigation with acrinol solution<br />
w<strong>as</strong> performed to prevent any infection.<br />
Conclusion:sialolithi<strong>as</strong>is is the most frequent re<strong>as</strong>on for salivary gland obstruction,using this<br />
newly developed sialoendoscopey system for electrohydraulic lithotripsis allow us to remove<br />
stone without any surgical intervention.<br />
