STATE OF DENTAL RADIOGRAPHY IN GENEVA IN 2010<br />

Objectives : The aim of this study w<strong>as</strong> to track : the spread of digital radiography; a possible<br />

incre<strong>as</strong>e in the number of examinations amongst the digital users; a possible difference in the<br />

clinical knowledge in dental radiography related to the qualification level (b<strong>as</strong>ic graduate, doctorate,<br />

specialist); the impact on that knowledge of the obligatory 2 days course in Radiation<br />

Protection followed by all the dentists of Geneva.<br />

Methods : A 3 pages questionnaire w<strong>as</strong> sent to the dentist population of Geneva (Switzerland)<br />

in 2010.<br />

Results : The response rate w<strong>as</strong> of 66% (207/313). Digital radiography w<strong>as</strong> used by 35% of 202<br />

dentists for intraoral, 39% of 81 for DPT, 63% of 16 for Ceph. Significant incre<strong>as</strong>e (p
