To undertake an empirical investigation concerning parents and principals
as partners in creating a culture of learning.
To formulate certain recommendations that may serve as guidelines for the
establishment of an effective partnership between parents and principals in
creating a culture of learning.
METHOD OF RESEARCH
Research with regard to this study will be conducted as follows:

A literature study of available, relevant literature.
An empirical survey comprIsIng two separate questionnaires to be
completed by parents with children in standard nine and principals of
secondary schools respectively selected by random sampling.
FURTHER COURSE OF THE STUDY
Chapter 2 will focus on the causes for the collapse in the culture of learning.
Parents and principals as educators will be dealt with in Chapter 3.
Chapter 4 will focus on an accountable partnership between parents and principals
in creating a culture of learning.
Planning of the research will be contained in Chapter 5.
Chapter 6 will involve the presentation of the empirical survey.
A summary together with findings and certain recommendations will receive
attention in Chapter 7.
