Advocacy for <strong>Health</strong><br />

There is therefore the need to address the concerns and fears of community members about<br />

family planning. We can do this by giving them adequate information and emphasising<br />

the numerous advantages of family planning. Here we need to be careful not to use deceit,<br />

coercion or inducement to get people to practise family planning.<br />

brainstorm the advantages<br />

of family planning and the<br />

challenges to family planning<br />

promotion<br />

2. Ask them how they can use<br />

the information to advocate for<br />

family planning.<br />

The following exercise (Exercise 3.2.5) is to help us know the bounds of our efforts in<br />

promoting family planning. There are actions that are encouraged and there are those that<br />

are forbidden.<br />
