By comparing wages of MENA countries and <strong>the</strong> ECE ones, it is again observed that<br />

Egypt, Yemen and Algeria do have <strong>the</strong> lowest minimal wages relative to <strong>the</strong> majority of<br />

<strong>the</strong> ECE countries available for this study (Table I.2.3.3). However, Belarus, Romania,<br />

Russia and to a certain extent Ukraine do have lower minimal wages than <strong>the</strong> lowest<br />

physician income countries of <strong>the</strong> MENA.<br />

When considering maximal wages, it appears that Egypt has <strong>the</strong> lowest salaries compared<br />
