Lights to indicate that the ventilator<br />

is inoperative, and the ventilator safety<br />

valve is open. A qualified service technician<br />

must run and pass the extended self-test<br />

(EST) before normal ventilation can resume.<br />

If the condition that caused the safety valve<br />

to open no longer exists, and the VENT<br />

INOP indicator is <strong>of</strong>f, press the alarm reset<br />

key to resume ventilation.<br />

Lights when the ventilator’s safety valve<br />

and exhalation valve open and only room<br />

air is available to the patient.<br />

Can indicate that the ventilator is inoperative,<br />

or there is an occlusion in the ventilator<br />

breathing circuit. If possible, the message<br />

window shows the alarm that triggered the<br />

safety valve open condition and how much<br />

time has elapsed since the last breath was<br />

triggered.<br />

Green Lights when the ventilator is running on ac<br />

power and the battery is charging.<br />

Yellow Flashes when the ventilator is running on<br />

the internal battery.<br />

Yellow Flashes when the ventilator is running on<br />

the external battery.<br />

Green Shows the relative charge level <strong>of</strong> the<br />

internal battery.<br />

Yellow Alarm silence: Silences the alarm sound<br />

for 2 minutes from the most recent key<br />

press.<br />
