Take the one truth that God is present in all the living things in the entire
world: If you examine it, you will find on ocean of difference between
one being and another in your experience and in their external
appearance. Take the case of an ant: If an ant comes near you, you
push it away. If a snake comes near you, you are afraid and run away
from it. The fact that you behave so differently towards these two living
things, shows that you are not able to experience the feeling that God
is present and is the same in all living things. How can you expound
what you do not practice in your daily life? (34-118/125)
When you have been able to imbibe the essence that is contained in
the words which describe non-dualism and transform them into experience,
then you do not have to go to a specific place - you do not have
to go anywhere at all. But so long as you are content only with words
and talking about non-dualism and you have no experience at all, you
need to go to certain places. You have to make pilgrimages; for whatever
you call attributes, for whatever you call form, you are seeking
some form. There is a place and a time for that. But once you have got
over this feeling, if you are seeking the one without attributes and the
one without form, then there are no limitations of space or time. (34-

Man today lives a life from which sacredness, modesty and all other
qualities have disappeared. Though he has some good qualities, he
does not make use of them. (34-181)
Every student must seek education and not fulfillment of his desires.
Education is enriched by humility. True education is judged from the
cultivation of good character and good conduct, and not merely from
the acquisition of degrees. Education does not mean ignoring the sacrifices
made by your parents at home. It does not mean that you should
dress luxuriously, displeasing your elders, disregarding all those who
are more knowledgeable than you. That is not education at all. Your
parents will always feel happy when they find you endowed with good
character. (34-200/201)
When you get up in the morning sit on your bed and think of the Lord.
Think that your getting up from the bed is like rising from the womb,
that you are just born. As soon as you get up, throw your troubles and
burdens at the foot of the Lord and pray to him to guide you through
