Man and women, though master and wife, have different spiritual destinies;
each has to go at his or her own pace. They may be inter-related
and interdependent in secular matters, but, in spiritual matters, each
has to carve out his or her own career. Make the home a seat of harmony;
then, the village will be a home for concord, the state will have
peace, the nation will be happy, and the world will have prosperity.

At this critical hour in the history of the world, when the demonic forces
of fear and anxiety, injustice and iniquity are raging in wild fury, it is the
duty of every human being to be equipped with spiritual strength, so
that he is not overwhelmed by the storm. This is an urgent task, and
the women of India have a contribution to make, a service to render,
a role to play. They must bring God into the hearts of the child and help
it to keep him there. For, faith in God is the tonic that man needs to get

Now, the education that is being given in schools for girls and in women's
colleges helps only to make them “desirable wives”, not “desirable
mothers”. The role of the mother which is the natural, native and inescapable
role is neglected; the subsidiary short-lived scintillation, is given

People refer to various duties, rights and obligations, but these are not
of much importance; they are only means and methods of regulating
the complications of practical living. They are not fundamental. All
these moral codes and approved behaviour are prompted by the need
to cater to two types of creature with two different types of nature - viz.,
masculine and feminine.
They include nature and God, gross and subtle, inert and conscious,
the all-pervading duet. (...)
The feminine principle is spoken of as the illusion imposed upon Himself
by the Lord, the energy with which he equipped himself of his own
will. This is the feminine form. This is the reason women is considered
as “creative power”. She is the faithful companion of man, his fortune;
since she is the concretization of the will of the Lord, she is mystery,
wonder, the representative of the protective principle; the queen of his
home, his beneficence, the illumination of the house. Women who are
repositories are in no way inferior; how full of fortitude, patience and
love is their nature! Their self-control is seldom equalled by men. They
