Shruti - sacred Veda text of ancient Indian. Sutra - rule for the proper worship of sacred rituals. Upanishad - a category of sacred Indian scriptures. Vedanta - means the "end of the Vedas." It is the essence of the Vedas enshrined in the Upanishads. The philosophy of non-dualism, or qualified nondualism, or dualism based on the Upanishadic teachings, is denoted by this term. Veda - the oldest and the holiest of the ancient Bharatiya scriptures, the primary source of authority in religion and philosophy.
