Acquaintance with the contents of the various Shastras or Vedas is not
going to remove the screen in front of one's mind. On one side of the
screen is the individual and on the other side is God. On one side of
the screen is Creation and on the other side is the basis for all that we
see. The past birth is not known to us, the present birth is not something
stationary or unchanging, the future birth is such that no one
knows about it. Is there anyone who knows about the future? The human
body is impermanent and transient and the living being residing
in the body is indestructible. He is the permanent one and he is Brahman
and the one who is the basis of all that you see. It is his greatness
that manifests in many different ways. I have been reaching, I had
been reaching in the past, I am reaching now for one who understands
the basis of all these manifestations. 1974, (36-248)
There is only one common feature for all living things in this world and
that is the eternal spirit. In all manifold forms of creation in unity and in
diversity, we find only the spirit of Atman and nothing else. It is the realization
of this aspect that constitutes the essence of all learning.

Creation and God are not two distinct things. In your ignorance, you
regard what really is a projection of God's illusion as the world and material
creation. It will appear as the manifestation of the spirit of the Divine,
if you act wisely and with knowledge. It is only when you can think
of both and discriminate between them, will you see the difference.

All things in creation are subject to the law of change and man too is
subject to this law. But, man should use the law for progress, and not
for sliding down in the scale. Intelligence from the higher self, the inward
Divinity, leads man ever on the path of renunciation and service,
for they alone lead to spiritual advancement. The higher self recognizes
the unity of creation like the string that runs through each
blossom. When you win the love of God, his compassion will flow
unto you. (...)
The universe is the field where God sports. Be aware of this fact, and
there is nothing more you need for a happy existence. (...)
