Man is steeped in illusion in this manner and he cannot free himself
from illusion. He forgets his origin and he does not understand Brahman.
However, if this situation does not exist, there is no reason why
an Avatar has to come. What exists as a reality is only one, but what
you see is manifold. This one thing appears to you as if it is many. (...)
You have put the thick cover of worldly desires on you. If the desires
of the human body should be broken, then you will have the vision of
the Atman. (...) Atman is the embodiment of bliss. You can only experience
the embodiment of bliss and it is not possible to exhibit it in any
other manner. 1977, (37-62/63)
God will also bend himself to help his devotees. For the sake of happiness
to devotees, God will be prepared to undertake any kind of trouble.
Even if you blame God, he does not feel so unhappy as when his
devotees are blamed. God is above natural qualities; he is not affected
by natural modes or quality. So he does not attach importance to blemish.
God is omnipresent. Because he assumes some form, you believe
that God is of a particular form. That God is omnipresent is the truth.
(...)
God has no attributes at all and, therefore, is able to be present everywhere.
If space which has only one quality, namely sound, is present
everywhere, then God, who has no quality or no attribute at all, can be
present everywhere. One may at this point get a doubt that if God is
omnipresent and is above natural modes, how is it that the natural
qualities are not in him but he is in the natural modes and qualities?
The moment you say that he is everywhere, it follows that he is present
in the natural modes also. He is in the natural modes, but the natural
modes are not in him. How is this possible? For example, the mud is
present in the pot but the pot is not present in the mud. The pot is created.
The pot has a form. The form has been given in an artificial way.
However, if God is in his formless aspect, it is not possible for people
to easily recognize the formless aspect. So, he takes a human form,
and comes to the world. 1977, (37-73/74)
Today, if people are taught that human nature is quite different from
Divine nature, man is simply creating these differences and since he
has not got the discriminating power, he believes them to be different.
Man is God, people are Divine. Some day or other, it is inevitable that
man will become God and God will come as an Avatar and will become
man. In that confluence of man and God is the manifestion of all cre-
