which is between attachment and detachment is important and you
should protect it. It will be possible for you to have devotion when you
have faith in God. Today we see many people who say that they have
no faith in God. But, in fact it is not possible to live even for a moment
without faith in God. You should not be under the impression that God
exists somewhere, having a special form and vested with special powers
and so on. What is contained in your own heart as a pure thought
and supreme consciousness is itself God. It is God and you do not
have to look for Him elsewhere. This sacred part of one’s heart is necessary
for everyone. There is no one without a sacred heart. Because
a sacred heart is present in everyone, God is in everyone. He who
does not have faith in himself will have no faith in God. There is no one
who does not love himself, has no belief in himself and has no ambition
to rise higher and higher. Even a man who does not have faith in God
has faith in himself and desires to have the strength to cultivate faith
in himself. This is quite natural and surges from the depths of the heart.

He who lives in this world should first become a human being and understand
what the nature of his body is. (35-42)
You should make an attempt to install God in the temple of your heart.
The human body is like a temple and in this life the soul is an ancient
representative of God. To be born as a human being is an exceptional
gift and the body enables such a human birth to reach its destination
and become it sacred. (36-108)
Having come upon the world stage as “man”, one should act the role
convincingly. The tree is known by the fruit. The human body is the
temple of God. He is installed there. Yearn for the realization of this
truth, seek to discover it and derive bliss from it- that is devotion, the
path of love of God. Love the highest, love the most lovable; do not
love anything lower. (27-228/229)
My place of residence is the pure, aspiring heart. The body is the temple.
It is the real house of God and of each one of you. You are a moving
temple, where God is in the innermost shrine. The body is not a
mass of flesh and bone; it is a medium for mantras - mantras which
save when they are meditated upon. It is a sacred instrument earned
after long ages of struggle, equipped with reason and emotion, to be
