Base your activities on righteousness, fill your hearts with love - then

Where is the need for money for devotional singing, for meditation and
for group singing in the street? For this devotional group singing, you
require only legs to move, tongues to sing and hearts to receive the
name of God. For special purposes and on special occasions, funds
are collected only from members of the organization. This has been
the rule from the very beginning; it is the basis of this organization. For
all other activities, you need no funds. You need only a loving heart, a
pure heart, a wide heart. (...)
In some places, there are units which do not carry on any activity. Or,
if they do, the activities are quite contrary to the principles and practice
of Prashanti Nilayam or the rules laid down for the organization. Wherever
there are such units, the state president or the district president
must take steps immediately to remove them from the organization.

In the spiritual organization, members do not discuss what can be
seen or heard, or touched and tasted; they are interested in the investigation
of the unseen, the basic truth beyond the senses (outer and
inner), the processes by which the mind helps or hinders the individual's
journey to God. 22.11.70, (21-369)
What I am about to say in answer to an other question handed over to
me might pain some of you - but, I feel the truth must be told. There
are some who are attracted by various systems and methods like
hatayoga, kriyayoga or rajayoga, which claim to help people to realise
the self. But I must tell you that not one of these can make you realise
God. I must emphasize this. Premayoga - the discipline of love - alone
can lead you to God. Other yogas may calm the mind's agitations temporarily,
improve health and prolong life for a few more years, but that
is all they can do. What good to you hope to achieve with that body in
those extra years? If love is absent, they weigh you down like heavy
burdens; if love is cultivated, then, the body can be used for serving
others, without regard for the interests of the body. 22.11.70, (21-378)
Through the units of the organization of which you are the officer-bearers,
you are worshipping God, for, service to man is service to God.
When God comes embodied as man to serve man, how delighted he
must be to find man himself taking up the role and serving brother man
to get rid of disease, distress or doubt!
