and bright?
The organization must promote this high sense of unity and responsibility.
It must constantly enthuse and educate members to be engaged

I must point out to the doctors serving here that perhaps even more
than the drugs they prescribe, the sweet, soft words they speak and
the love and sympathy they evince can cure better and quicker the illnesses
of their patients. Look upon them as your own kith and kin, as
your special guests and as your closest friends, and attend to them
lovingly and with unflinching care. I call upon you to maintain this attitude
in every situation. Remember that the patient has to co-operate
with you in order that you may effect the cure, and when cured, the patient
confers on you satisfaction, joy and a sense of elation. Be grateful
to the patient for all this. 28.8.76, (24-57)
You have heard some basic directions that I have given you. I have
been telling you to deal with them as directions for life: “Duty is God;
work is worship”, and another dictum: “Heads in the forest, hands in
society”. Do deeds that are holy and beneficial, untarnished by ego
and greed. Start on the sacred pilgrimage to the Divine goal and make
every minute of your life holy and purposeful. (24-220)
Today it is the duty of all those who are connected with the Sathya Sai
organizations to promote spiritual discipline and dedicate their lives to
social service for leading a purposeful life. To promote the awareness
of Divinity in human beings and build a genuine sense of brotherhood
should be their primary aim. 22.11.80, (25-45)
Some of the speakers at the conference have said that Swami brings
about transformation in individuals. When does transformation take
place? After a person has received information. The first requisite is to
get information about the presence of the Divine principle in all. The
Sai Organizations have been engaged in propagating this "information."
Service is the ideal means by which this message can be conveyed.
You should all realise that the human body has been given to
you solely to render selfless service. Such service broadens the heart,
destroys the ego and generates bliss. Service also helps to promote
consciousness of the brotherhood of man and the Fatherhood of God.
