Help them to write to their homes, give them books or read books to
them. Be the kith and kin of those who have none whom they can call

Women devotees, if they have enthusiasm and support can start
meetings not only for devotional singing and study of sacred texts and
books, but for service of women. Go among the poor in the slums and
spread light and joy. Gather helpless girls and try to provide them with

The organizations named after me are not to be used for publicising
my name, or creating a new cult around my worship. They must spread
interest in recitation of God's Name, meditation and other spiritual
practices, which lead man godward; they must demonstrate the joy derived
from devotional group singing and remembering God's Name
and the peace one can draw from good company. They must render
service to the helpless, the sick, the distressed, the illiterate and the
needy. Their selfless service should not be exhibitionistic; it must seek
no reward, not even gratitude or thanks from the recipients. Service is
spiritual discipline not a pastime of the rich and well placed. Each one
must realise his own truth. That is the purpose of all the teaching, all
the curing, all the counselling, all the organising, all the advising that I

Sing aloud the glory of God and charge the atmosphere with Divine adoration;
the clouds will pour sanctity through rain on the fields; the
crops will feed on it, sanctify and fortify the food; the food will induce
Divine urges in man. This is the chain of progress. This is the reason
why I insist on group singing of the names of the Lord.
Man is Divine: he can purify himself into perfect Divinity by the process
of meditation, taken up with eagerness and followed with faith, by virtuous

spread love. No other emotion or attitude has any place in them. Divinity
is the magnet; humanity is the iron. Love is the force that brings
