Recipes for General Menus

ORANGE DRINK
(Fruit)
Ingredient Metric Standard Measure Method
Orange 1440 g 48 oz 8 medium 9. Scrub and wash oranges under running water.
10. Cut oranges into halves.
11. Juice oranges using manual or electric juicer and pour into
mixing bowl.
Sugar 240 g 8 oz 1 cup 12. Add sugar and water to juice in mixing bowl.
Water 1440 ml 48 oz 6 cups
13. Mix thoroughly.
14. Strain using a fine strainer into a jug/pitcher.
15. Chill for at least 1 hour.
16. Hold and serve chilled.
Purchasing note: 1 medium orange weighs approximately 6 oz. One large orange weighs approximately 8 oz
Preparation note: 6 large oranges should yield approximately 4 cups of juice.
