270 Emergency Menus and Recipes Ingredient Metric Standard Measure Method Bread 960 g 32 oz 30 slices 16. Arrange bread slices in two rows of 15 slices of bread each on a baking sheet or a worktable. 17. Portion filling evenly for 15 sandwiches (4Tbsp on each sandwich). 18. Place filling neatly and evenly on one row of 15 slices of bread. 19. Spread filling evenly to the edges of each slice of bread with a knife. 20. Remove lettuce from refrigerator. 21. Arrange one leaf of lettuce on top of the slice with the filling. 22. Use the plain slices of bread to top (cover) the filled slices evenly. 23. Stack two or three sandwiches together. 24. Measure and place margarine in a dish, cover and allow to soften at room temperature 30 minutes before use. e. Stacking more than 3 sandwiches insulates the filling and prevents it from reaching and keeping the desired temperature as quickly it should. f.
