Recipes for General Menus
Ketchup 120 g 4 oz ½ cup 16. Add ketchup and brown sugar to sauce pan with minced beef and beans
Sugar 15 g ½ oz 1 Tbsp
and combine well.
17. Turn heat down and allow to simmer.
Carrot 120 g 4 oz 1 medium 18. Wash carrot, chocho and string beans.
Chocho 120 g 4 oz 1 small 19. Peel carrot and chocho.
String Beans 120 g 4 oz 12 each
20. Cut tips from both ends of string beans.
21. On a cutting board, cut carrot and chocho into ¼ inch cubes.
22. Cut string beans into ¼ inch pieces.
23. Add carrot and chocho stir and allow to cook for 5 minutes.
24. Add string beans and cover pot.
25. Simmer for 10 mins until vegetables are tender.
Bread Crumbs 30 g 1 oz 2 Tbsp 26. Add bread crumbs, stir and allow to cook for 2 minutes until thicken.
27. Remove from flame.
28. Hold and serve hot.
Preparation note: Always keep minced beef in refrigerator during preparation except when directly working with this food item.
Cooking Note: Carrot and string beans may be cooked separately and added to save time and retain colour.
Service note: This meal may be served in a soup bowl with accompaniment.
