WATERMELON DRINK
(Fruit)
Ingredient Metric Standard Measure Method
Watermelon 1680 g 3½ lb 1 small or
¼ of a large
melon
12. Scrub and wash the skin of the whole melon.
13. Remove red portion (pulp) of melon and discard skin.
14. Remove melon seeds and discard.
15. Cut melon pulp in large chunks and place in blender.
Water 240 ml 48 oz 7 cups 16. Blend melon with water.
17. Pour blended mixture into mixing bowl.
Sugar 300 g 10 oz 1 ¼ cup 18. Add sugar and lime juice to mixture in mixing bowl.
Lime Juice 30 ml 1 oz 2 Tbsp
19. Mix well until all sugar is dissolved in mixing bowl.
20. Strain drink into pitcher/jug.
21. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
22. Hold and serve cold.
