No hard and fast rules can be given for
remodeling a theatre to make it conform
to the best thinking on full-vision pointof-purchase
merchandising. Some chain
operators have set up their own theatre
planning and design departments to provide
the most effective design for their
outlets. Even in these, the individual unit
is given special treatment according to
architectural structure, harmony with adjacent
buildings, volume of business anticipated,
geographical location, customer traffic,
etc.
When you decide to modernize consult
your architect and with him establish your
plan. Then consider exterior and interior
design. Arrange your modernization program
so that it may be carried through to
completion at one time. This is important,
even though on a limited budget, because
you will then have modernized in the shortest
time possible and the necessity of operating
at handicaps periodically Is eliminated.

effect of your modernization immediately
