Community Theatres of Atlanta has purchased
the Ponce de Leon Theatre from the
Bach estate . . . Fay Jones of Columbia had
set her wedding date for December but she
and fiance Webb Bermilga slipped quietly
away and were married November 17 in
Crawfordville, Ga. . . . Milton Cohen and
Rube Perlman, U-A home office, were at the
local
office.
Mrs.
L. C. Yoemans of the Magnolia Theatre,
Titusville, Fla., died. Mrs. Yoemans said that
she will dispose of the theatre

National Screen notes: Herman Epps is
Mrs. Ethel Lehman, wife of Ruby Lehman,
Independent booker, is confined to her home
with injuries suffered in an accident November
14. The Lehmans were returning home
shortly after dark on Paces Ferry road when
a truck and their car collided at an intersection.
The force of the impact threw Mrs.
Lehman out of the car and in the path of
another car. Fortunately, the driver was able
to stop before striking her.
spending his vacation in New Orleans. Shirley
Turner has been promoted to the front
office . . . Charles Lester's daughter and
son-in-law, Capt. and Mrs. Charles D. Decker
jr., and their two children paid the Lesters a
welcome visit. Decker is stationed at Ft. Sill.
