Concept
Total foreign debt is the sum of both short and long-term debts, whether from
the public sector (publicly guaranteed) or private sector (not guaranteed), using
IMF credit.
Comments
IPEA has available on the Internet, the historic series, 1950-2000, of the value of
the Brazilian Foreign Debt excluding inter-company loans from March 2001,
retroactive to 2000.
