thing, although GEC is an independent power producer, the plant is
included by PG&E as part of its master control center. In addition,
continuing contacts between the operating employees of PG&E and
GEC coordinate dispatchable operations and maintenance activities.
Also, PG&E and GEC help one another with specific situations of
either an emergency or routine nature.
Our commitment to customer satisfaction also includes our suppliers.
It is our intent to develop win-win relationships with suppliers
whenever possible. For example, we have an ongoing, partnering
agreement with General Electric that provides significant resources
and services to us and gives them a commitment for planned work
and materials. We currently have similar agreements in place with
several of our vendors.
While it is true there are contracts between companies that
create obligations and responsibilities, the contracts do not preclude
flexibility in meeting the needs of all parties. “Partners” are always
looking for ways to create mutual benefit. There is a commitment to
know, understand and work with your “partner.” This attitude is evident
in our relationship with both our customers and our suppliers.
