SEISMIC EVALUATION OF THE STUDY FRAME 291 The example frame was designed by the proposed design procedure. Fig. 6 shows the resulting member sizes of the frame. In this study, the frame was designed by selecting an assumed 2% target drift, which is consistent with the drift limit imposed by the UBC, and all members with specified yield strength of 50 ksi.
