2. 4 th Folk Craft Festival At Argentina<br />
In addition to above, 4 th Festival<br />
<strong>of</strong> India, Buenos Aires, Argentina<br />
from 3-13 December, 2011 along<br />
with 6 Master Craftspersons for live<br />
demonstration, thematic display under<br />
the Export Promotion Scheme <strong>of</strong><br />
Office <strong>of</strong> DC(Handicrafts) and Buyers<br />
Seller Meet was organized which was<br />
participated by 35 member exporters.<br />
The event was organized in cooperation<br />
and association <strong>of</strong> the Indian Mission,<br />
Argentina. The Festival was inaugurated<br />
by H.E. the Ambassador <strong>of</strong> India, Shri R.<br />
Vishwanathan, which was attended by<br />
Vice-President-EPCH, Director-EPCH<br />
in Argentina and Media and prominent<br />
traders were present.<br />
3. Buyer Seller Meet at Chile<br />
A Buyer Seller Meet at Santiago, Chile<br />
on 29-30 November, 2011 was organized<br />
and was participated by 33 exporting<br />
companies registered with Council. The<br />
BSM was organized in coordination<br />
with the Indian Mission in Chile. The<br />
event was inaugurated by the H.E. the<br />
Ambassador <strong>of</strong> India in Chile, Director<br />
– EPCH and other prominent members<br />
from Chilean Trade were present during<br />
the BSM.<br />
4. Seminar/Workshops/Symposiums/<br />
Awareness Programmes<br />
During 2011-12 (Upto November, 2011), 6<br />
workshops/Seminars on Export Marketing<br />
Procedures, Packaging, Challenges<br />
and opportunities, Certifications and<br />
compliances were organized craft cluster<br />
<strong>of</strong> each region <strong>of</strong> the country. Besides,<br />
90 Awareness Programmes on quality<br />
compliances were conducted.<br />
5. Indian Handicrafts And Gifts Fair<br />
31 st edition <strong>of</strong> Indian Handicrafts & Gifts<br />
Fair (Autumn) at Greater Noida was<br />
organized from 15-18 October, 2011 and<br />
was participated by over 2000 exporters<br />
members. The fair was visited by over<br />
4000 foreign buyers/agents and a<br />
business <strong>of</strong> Rs. 900 crores was held.<br />
6. Product Specific Show<br />
Indian Fashion Jewellery was held from<br />
8-10 July, 2011 at India Expo Mart &<br />
Centre, Greater Noida. 200 Exporters<br />
from India had participated. 310 buyers<br />
had visited and export order <strong>of</strong> Rs.64<br />
crores was made besides enquiries <strong>of</strong><br />
about Rs. 100 crores.<br />
