Academic & other Curricular Activities<br />
Admission to B. Tech 1st year:<br />
Total intake in B. Tech. programme is<br />
60 seats. The CCB (Central Counselling<br />
Board <strong>of</strong> AIEEE-2010) had allotted 60<br />
candidates 31 candidates had taken<br />
admission from the said allotment and<br />
04 candidates dropped out / upgraded.<br />
Further, out <strong>of</strong> 29 vacant seats (s), only<br />
26 seats were filled up through Institute<br />
Level Counselling as per norms <strong>of</strong> CCB<br />
(AIEEE-2010) & approved by GBTU.<br />
Further, 21 candidates (Diploma/B.Sc<br />
Degree Holder) took admission laterally<br />
in the B. Tech 2nd year III- Semester in<br />
the session as per the guidelines <strong>of</strong> G.<br />
B. Technical University & CCB <strong>of</strong> AIEEE-<br />
2010.<br />
Tuition Fee Exemption:<br />
In view <strong>of</strong> directives from GBTU, Lucknow<br />
the eligible ST & SC candidates do not<br />
have to pay the tuition fees at the time <strong>of</strong><br />
admission.<br />
Commencement <strong>of</strong> the Session:<br />
The new session commenced from<br />
23rd July, 2010 for the B. Tech. V &<br />
VII- Semester classes and B. Tech I &<br />
III Semester classes started from 25th<br />
August, 2010.<br />
Examination Result and Performance:<br />
During Financial year 1st Apr.2010<br />
to 31st Mar. 2011, 48 students <strong>of</strong> 6th<br />
batch (2006-10) appeared in final VIIIth<br />
semester examination & 40 were declared<br />
successful. 14 Students passed with<br />
distinction, out <strong>of</strong> which Gold as well as<br />
Silver medals were also obtained by rank<br />
holders. 44 students <strong>of</strong> seventh batch<br />
(2007-11) appeared in 6th semester exam<br />
and were promoted to 7th Semester,<br />
24 student <strong>of</strong> eighth batch (2008-12)<br />
appeared in 2nd year, 4th semester exam<br />
and were promoted to 5th semester.<br />
Metal Handicrafts Service Centre<br />
(MHSC), Moradabad.<br />
MHSC meets the international requirement<br />
<strong>of</strong> art metal wares sector in areas <strong>of</strong><br />
post-production finishing processes. It<br />
is under the administrative control <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> DC(Handicrafts) and is managed<br />
by Governing Council consisting <strong>of</strong><br />
representatives <strong>of</strong> Government <strong>of</strong> India,<br />
government <strong>of</strong> UP and representatives<br />
<strong>of</strong> trade and crafts. The center has the<br />
following divisions:<br />
= Electroplating shop<br />
= Training<br />
= Lacquering<br />
= Powder coating<br />
= Polishing shop<br />
= Research Testing and Calibration<br />
Laboratory.<br />
Activities<br />
The MHSC is providing assistance in the<br />
following areas for the development <strong>of</strong> the<br />
sector :<br />

1. Implementation <strong>of</strong> Two Mega Cluster<br />
Schemes are under progress and the<br />
status <strong>of</strong> the same are as under:<br />

The building construction <strong>of</strong><br />
extended CFC <strong>of</strong> the Centre is<br />
completed and the finishing work<br />
<strong>of</strong> the same is going on.<br />
The equipment for etching and<br />
cutting technology has reached<br />
in the new CFC and it will be<br />
installed in this year itself.<br />
