Wool Research Association undertook the<br />
following activities in support to the Wool<br />
and Woollen Industry during 2011-12:<br />
Fibre to fabric testing including Technical<br />
Textile; Carpet; <strong>textiles</strong> & dyes for ec<strong>of</strong>riendly<br />
parameters; testing <strong>of</strong> dyeing &<br />
finishing treatments and other technical<br />
services including consultancy. Textile<br />
Testing Lab is expected to receive a total<br />
number <strong>of</strong> 2131 samples and Test Reports<br />
made for total number <strong>of</strong> 7183 tests for<br />
various parameters. In addition Eco-Lab<br />
& Colour Lab is expected to receive 1000<br />
samples and 3000 tests.<br />
Textile Lab was reaccredited by NABL in<br />
compliance <strong>of</strong> ISO 17025:2005 during the<br />
month <strong>of</strong> July 2011 for a term <strong>of</strong> 2 years<br />
upto 16-07-2013. The laboratory is also<br />
accredited by Inter<strong>wool</strong>labs (Bradford)<br />
regularly, on yearly basis.<br />
The Governing Council <strong>of</strong> Wool Research<br />
Association meets at least thrice during<br />
the year and General Body and Technical/<br />
Research Advisory Committee meetings<br />
are convened once on record, every<br />
year.<br />
