In the second Mega Cluster<br />
Project Testing Lab about new<br />
70 sophisticated equipment will<br />
be added and the tender for the<br />
same have been floated and<br />
a good response for the same<br />
have been received for the same<br />
and they are being evaluated at<br />
present. The testing equipments<br />
will cover almost all the testing<br />
facilities in the field <strong>of</strong> metal,<br />
glass, wood and resin. The<br />
extended new lab will be much<br />
useful to the exporters situated<br />
in and around Moradabad.<br />
It is expected that the new testing<br />
lab will be operational in this year<br />
itself.<br />
2. The <strong>of</strong>ficials from the Centre<br />
participated in both the export trade<br />
fairs conducted in Greater Noida to<br />
provide wide publicity to the finishing<br />
facilities, testing facilities and training<br />
facilities exisiting in the Centre to<br />
the exporters, buyers and buying<br />
agencies <strong>of</strong> different countries.<br />
3. 4 Skill Development Training<br />
Programs have been sanctioned.<br />
The total cost sanctioned for the<br />
training to be conducted in the<br />
coming five years is Rs.2.07 crores<br />
and MOT will provide Rs.1.67 crores<br />
as its share and Rs.40 lakhs will be<br />
met by MHSC. It is targeted that<br />
504 trainees will be premises as<br />
part <strong>of</strong> skill Development Training<br />
every year and total number <strong>of</strong> 2520<br />
trainees will be trained in the coming<br />
five years.<br />
4. The Officials <strong>of</strong> Orissa Handicrafts<br />
Corporation had an exposure visit to<br />
this Centre and the Centre arranged<br />
to them visit to local artisans and<br />
exporters <strong>of</strong> this region. In fact, in<br />
Orissa handicrafts are developed by<br />
hitting and beating method and by old<br />
traditional methods. They are having<br />
the aim to develop similar projects<br />
<strong>of</strong> manufacturing and finishing <strong>of</strong><br />
handicrafts existing in Moradabad<br />
with a tie-up to MHSC. Subsequently,<br />
they arranged another exposure visit<br />
<strong>of</strong> their artisans and traders to this<br />
Centre and the <strong>of</strong>ficials in the Centre<br />
provided all the help.<br />

Electroplating <strong>of</strong> silver, nickel, Copper,<br />
Brass, Chrome, & gold plating,<br />
Lacquering, Powder Coating, Sand/<br />

marketing <strong>of</strong> Centre’s activities.<br />
