The most recent landmark achievement
is the MOU with Fashion Institute of
Technology (FIT), New York which has
been the first of its kind at NIFT. This
has been an intensive and challenging
process involving detailed study and
course mapping of prospective areas
of the NIFT bachelor’s degree 3rd year
programmes and with the one year
Associate Degree programmes of FIT
since FIT has stringent standards for the
intake of both national and international
students. This historic MOU has forged
a strong global connect and will result in
Dual Degrees awarded both by NIFT and
FIT. This agreement will be implemented
by 2012. In fact, this year, as NIFT which
was established in 1986 in collaboration
with FIT, celebrates 25 years of its
existence, this renewed alliance is
envisaged to be significant and mutually
beneficial.
