FOR PULACAYO PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDY<br />

20.1 General Description of the <strong>Project</strong><br />

The <strong>Pulacayo</strong> Mining <strong>Project</strong> area is located 18 km by road north east of the town of Uyuni, as a<br />

territorial part of the first section Uyuni of the province Antonio Quijarro in the Department of<br />

Potosi.<br />

The <strong>Pulacayo</strong> mineral deposit comprises a reservoir of zinc, lead and silver concentrates.<br />

For activities of exploitation and complex mineral concentration, the <strong>Pulacayo</strong> Mining <strong>Project</strong><br />

considers a process of treatment capacity of 1,000 tons per day of ore, incorporating<br />

underground mining methods and ore treatment through flotation process.<br />

20.2 Description of Available Information<br />

For the <strong>Pulacayo</strong> Mining <strong>Project</strong> a wide range of environmental and socioeconomic studies has<br />

been made (see Chart 20.1), these studies have been developed for the exploration stage as well<br />

as for the future operation on the field. All information on environmental and socio-economic<br />

studies, has been generated by the Consultant MEDMIN through contracts made with <strong>Apogee</strong><br />

Minerals Bolivia Company and ASC Bolivia LDC.<br />

This information has been collected from works performed in the project area since year 2009.<br />
