20.5.3 Environmental Record (FA)<br />

The Environmental record (Ficha Ambiental) is a technical document that marks the beginning of<br />

the process of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). From the Environmental record, it is<br />

defined the study category of the Assessment of Environmental Impact (EEIA) of the project,<br />

work or metallurgical mining activity, and therefore the type of study to be followed for the<br />

processing of the environmental license. The Environment Record displays information about the<br />

project, work or activity, the identification of key impacts and possible solutions to the negative<br />

impacts. It is advisable to start the process of categorization through the Environmental Record in<br />

the pre-feasibility stage of the project of the new activity, which was already addressed for this<br />

specific project.<br />

20.5.4 Environmental Impact Statement (DIA)<br />

The Environmental Impact Statement (DIA) is the corresponding Environmental License to new<br />

mining activities that are categorized one or two For the methodology of the Environmental<br />

Record. The procedure for obtaining the Environmental License involves the Environmental<br />

Impact Assessment (EIA) that begins with the categorization by the Environmental Record to<br />

define the class or category of <strong>Study</strong> of Environmental Impact Assessment (EEIA) required for<br />

the new activity. The process for obtaining the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) involves<br />

Sectorial Environmental Authority (Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy) and a Competent<br />

Environmental Authority (Ministry of Environment and Water) who is in charge of issuing the<br />

license.<br />

20.5.5 Environmental Permits and Licenses<br />

The permits obtained are divided for the Exploration phase and the Operational phase. Chart<br />

20.3 details the current, valid permits held by the <strong>Pulacayo</strong> Mining <strong>Project</strong>.<br />
