Conclusions <strong>and</strong> recommendations<br />

- To develop extra curricular activities in schools (workshops, interest<br />

clubs, etc.) in order to facilitate the social integration <strong>of</strong> <strong>children</strong> <strong>left</strong><br />

<strong>behind</strong> <strong>as</strong> a consequence <strong>of</strong> migration;<br />

For private service providers<br />

To work out <strong>and</strong> disseminate information materials that should target<br />

<strong>children</strong> <strong>and</strong> be age-adjusted, on the prevention <strong>of</strong> deviant behaviours<br />

<strong>and</strong> services they could address to; parents on preparing <strong>children</strong> for<br />

their departure; guardians <strong>and</strong> <strong>children</strong>’s caregivers on their communication<br />

with the child <strong>and</strong> the family; teachers <strong>and</strong> other specialists who<br />

will deal with this category <strong>of</strong> <strong>children</strong>, parents <strong>and</strong> their caregivers;<br />

- To organize training on family life, family functioning, preserving<br />

family values, etc. b<strong>as</strong>ed on a curriculum approved by the Ministry<br />

<strong>of</strong> Education;<br />

- To organize training on developing <strong>children</strong>’s abilities for correct<br />

management <strong>of</strong> remittances sent by their parents <strong>and</strong> also looking<br />

to develop entrepreneurship abilities b<strong>as</strong>ed on a curriculum approved<br />

by the Ministry <strong>of</strong> Education;<br />

For migrant parents or potential labour migrants<br />

- To place <strong>children</strong> under temporary guardianship thus avoiding the<br />

risks that a child <strong>left</strong> <strong>behind</strong> without a legal guardian is exposed to;<br />

- To keep in touch with <strong>children</strong> systematically;<br />

- To keep in touch with the educational institution the child/<strong>children</strong><br />

attend/s in order to be informed on their school performance.<br />

The <strong>elderly</strong><br />

• Legal<br />

- To amend the regulatory framework on the accountability <strong>of</strong> <strong>children</strong><br />

to take care <strong>of</strong> parents in difficulty (social aid, to sign contracts<br />

with the state, etc.);<br />

- Development <strong>of</strong> the National Policies on Ageing in the context <strong>of</strong><br />

the National Strategy for Demographic Security.<br />

- To implement new forms <strong>of</strong> social insurance that will guarantee a<br />

decent old age (to develop private pensions);<br />

• To develop forms <strong>of</strong> support <strong>and</strong> social services<br />
