Psychological <strong>and</strong> social effects <strong>of</strong> migration<br />

I feel bad…”;<br />

- Joining the “gang” <strong>and</strong> running away from home: “We had problems<br />

with these guys, he entered their “gang”… he can stay out for a whole<br />

night… <strong>and</strong> I sit <strong>and</strong> worry…”.<br />

The adolescent with a deviant behaviour feels the need to communicate<br />

with the psychologist in certain situations, when he feels that he lacks<br />

moral security: “Maybe with the psychologist, I can talk to him sometimes.<br />

There is one in our school. It’s just there are guys who beat me, call me<br />

names…” (III_C_11). Moreover, he <strong>as</strong>ked for mayor’s help: “I went home<br />

to the mayor <strong>and</strong> I talked to him. I just had to. Nobody <strong>as</strong>ked me to, I went<br />

there by myself. I <strong>as</strong>ked for my gr<strong>and</strong>mother to have full <strong>of</strong>ficial right to take<br />

care <strong>of</strong> me <strong>and</strong> now she h<strong>as</strong> all documents”.<br />

We can conclude that it should be taken into consideration the fact that<br />

<strong>children</strong> <strong>left</strong> <strong>behind</strong> can behave differently (in a positive or negative way,<br />

that is in a simulative or inhibitive way), adhering or neutralizing themselves,<br />

developing the so-called “determinant complexes” <strong>of</strong> the criminal<br />

action. Thus, one can see the difficulty <strong>of</strong> designing human behaviour from<br />

a psychological point <strong>of</strong> view when the child is given different socialization<br />

models. The factors determining deviance <strong>and</strong> delinquency in the behaviour<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>children</strong> whose parents are abroad have to be systematically approached.<br />

Deprivation <strong>of</strong> maternal care is visible <strong>and</strong> can be identified in<br />

extreme behaviour <strong>of</strong> the adolescent with an unidentified self-image.<br />

Besides, there is severe need <strong>of</strong> psychological support that confirms our<br />

hypothesis regarding adolescents’ frustrations, affect <strong>and</strong> internal conflicts.<br />

The absence <strong>of</strong> parents makes <strong>children</strong> feel unhappy <strong>and</strong> they say that being<br />

happy means “Not to fight with my gr<strong>and</strong>mother, <strong>and</strong> my mom is near…<br />

I do not need anything else… (III_C_11).<br />

A child’s psychological trauma is obvious. The child lives the pain <strong>of</strong> separation<br />

by going through several levels <strong>of</strong> affective shock, anger, puzzlement,<br />

accusation <strong>and</strong> self-blaming, etc. while looking for <strong>and</strong> finding mechanisms<br />

to redress their situation.<br />

Elderly<br />

• Emotional condition <strong>of</strong> the <strong>elderly</strong><br />

Ageing represents a set <strong>of</strong> transformations affecting the l<strong>as</strong>t period <strong>of</strong> life<br />

which is marked by a decline process <strong>and</strong> pessimist attitude <strong>of</strong> <strong>elderly</strong>.<br />

The <strong>elderly</strong> in difficulty are those persons who when they were young<br />

had a full life, filled with possibilities. The <strong>elderly</strong> have relatives, grown-<br />
