The skin is <strong>the</strong> largestorgan in <strong>the</strong> body <strong>and</strong> has some connection with all <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r organs, <strong>the</strong>refore it is areasonable assumption that touching <strong>the</strong> skin or <strong>the</strong> electromagnetic field surrounding <strong>the</strong>skin may produce some effect on o<strong>the</strong>r parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> body. Proximate <strong>spiritual</strong> healing iscommonly termed „laying on <strong>of</strong> h<strong>and</strong>s‟ <strong>and</strong> includes <strong>the</strong>rapeutic touch according to Barlowet al (2008).
