Please follow the instructions in section 3.1to ensure a proper connection is made between the PC and the relay before attempting tocommunicate with the relay.This section is intended as a quick start guide to using MiCOM S1 and MiCOM S1 Studio,and assumes you have a copy of MiCOM S1 or MiCOM S1 Studio installed on your PC.Please refer to the MiCOM S1 or MiCOM S1 Studio User Manual for more detailedinformation.3.5 MiCOM S1 Studio3.5.1 Data Model ManagementThe settings and parameters of the protection relay can be extracted from the relay orloaded usin Fata Model manager. The Data Model Manager can load any model from Localfile, CD ROM or Internet server (if connected).The Data Model Manager is used to add or to remove data models, to export and to importdata model files.It is necessary to close MiCOM S1 Studio when the Data Model Manager is opened.To Open Data Model manager, click on the icon:"Data Model Manager" in the "Programs" menu.. Select "MiCOM S1 Studio" thenThe following panel is displayed:12Select the “Add” option to add the new data model then click on the “next” button.
