At the higher relay settings, it is not possible to limit thefault voltage to 1500V rms, hence higher voltage have to be tolerated( indicated by * ,** , *** ).The Metrosil units normally recommended for the used with 5 Amps CTs and single polerelays are shown in the following table:SecondaryInternal faultcurrentRecommended Metrosil TypeRelay Voltage SettingAmps rms50AUp to 200V rms600A/S1/S1213C= 540/64035mA rms250V rms600A/S1/S1214C= 670/80040mA rms275V rms600A/S1/S1214C= 670/80050mA rms300V rms600A/S1/S1223C= 740/870*50mA rms100A600A/S2/P/S1217C= 470/54035mA rms600A/S2/P/S1215C= 570/67075mA rms600A/S2/P/S1215C= 570/670100mA rms600A/S2/P/S1196C= 620/740*100mA rms150A600A/S3/P/S1219C= 430/500100mA rms600A/S3/P/S1220C= 520/620100mA rms600A/S3/P/S1221C= 570/670**100mA rms600A/S3/P/S1222C= 620/740***100mA rmsNOTE:* 2400V peak** 2200V peak*** 2600V peakIn some cases, single disc assemblies may be acceptable, contactSchneider Electric for detailed information. The Metrosil units used with 5 Amps CTs can also be used with triplepole relays and consist of three single pole units mounted on thesame central stud but electrically insulated from each other. To orderthese units please specify “Triple pole Metrosil type”, followed by thesingle pole type reference.
