Installation and Initialization2.1.1 Ethernet Connector (PoE IN and Data)The Ethernet port of the device allows the user to connect to the LAN by using CAT5 Ethernet cable, and also power on thedevice by using the Power over Ethernet (PoE) Injector supplied with the product package.• The device receives 48 VDC via a standard Cat5 cable connected to the Ethernet port.• Maximum power supplied to the device is 19 Watts. The device typically draws less than 13.8 Watts.• The total length of cabling between the Personal Computer and the device cannot exceed 100 meters (includes cablefrom the Personal Computer to the PoE Injector, and the cable from the PoE Injector to the device.
