Appendix A: Descriptions of Resource Materials and How to Access ThemThe resources that have been selected <strong>for</strong> this edition of the Guidebook are listed below with ordering in<strong>for</strong>mation and web addresses.The abbreviation in the parentheses at the end of the title is the abbreviation used throughout the Guidebook. Currently there arenineteen core resources identified in the Life Skills Guidebook. These resources were selected because they address multiple LearningGoal (competency) areas and reach a wide range of developmental levels. There are many other resources available that may be usedto teach to the Learning Goals and Expectations in the Guidebook.We realize that Guidebook users have their own collection of resources that may be substituted <strong>for</strong> any of the items listed below. Wealso encourage Guidebook users to develop their own activities and share them with each other. An Activity Worksheet is included inAppendix B to serve as a guide <strong>for</strong> documenting new activities.When purchasing, consider the age of the youth/adults using these resources, their assessment scores, and program goals. Werecommend that the core resources all be selected. Recommended resources ought to be purchased depending on if they will be useful<strong>for</strong> your program.
