Lucy #075: Thereafter you go on to say, ―Some in religious training were taught that
Jesus died for their sins and that they are thus saved or justified, but in their lives there is no
evidence by works of the Spirit. Do they really have Jesus, or do they only have knowledge
about Him? Do they have ‗Churchianity‘ or do they have Christianity?‖
I wonder, are you talking about yourself here, my Friend? Is your choice to live as a
modern-day Pharisee and worship the judgmental God of the Old Testament (like Paul
did – see Acts 24:14) really evidence of the Holy Spirit working through you?
*Would Jesus really jive with such a conservative and limiting interpretation of the
Scripture?
*Would Jesus really accept such an interpretation that clearly bears the rotten fruits of
criticism & condemnation, bias & bigotry and division & damnation?
*Would Jesus really support you essentially completely ignoring not only the vast
majority of his own teachings in the Gospels, but also fully denying the primary reason he came
to be crucified; namely, to amend & reform the very same Old Testament laws (see pages 26-31
previously for massive proofs thereof) that you are so brazenly championing?
… I think NOT!!! (and the Bible happens to agree with me)
―‘The days are surely coming‘, says the Lord, ‗when I will establish a new covenant
with the house of Israel … not like the covenant that I made with their ancestors … And this is
the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days: I will put my laws in their
minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And
they shall not teach one another or say to each other, ―Know the Lord‖, for they shall all know
me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful towards their iniquities, and I
will remember their sins no more.‘ In speaking of „a new covenant‟, He has made the first one
obsolete. And what is obsolete and growing old will soon disappear.‖ ~ Hebrews 8:8-13
