Lucy: Is it the will of the Father to live in your sin??? … ―We know that everyone who has been
born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the Evil
One does not touch him.‖ (1 John 5:18)
Scaughdt: Well Lucy, I'm pretty sure that no human being knows for sure what the actual Will
of the Father is, and yet I am betting that Jesus Christ knows better than the author of 1 John ...
My dear friend, please take the time to hear – and then heed – his words:
―If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my Love, just as I have kept my
Father‘s commandments and abide in his Love ... And this is my commandment: that you Love
one another just as I have Loved you. ― ~ Jesus Christ (John 15:10-12)
―Do not judge, so that you may not be judged … Why do you see the speck in your
neighbor‘s eye, but do not notice the log in your own? ... You hypocrite! First take the log out of
your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your neighbor‘s ...
You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and
self-indulgence ... First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become
truly clean … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never
enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in
the Kingdom … Let [she] who is without sin cast the first stone.‖

P.S. By the way Lucy, 1 John 5:18 actually supports my interpretation of John 3:3-8;
namely, that to be ―Born Again‖ is not a one time profession of faith – that it is not a ―merit
badge‖ that one earns once and then wears no matter what, but is actually a state of being in
harmony with the perfect LOVE of the Father; a state of BEing that must be continually
renewed. For after all, ―everyone who has been born of God does not continue
sinning‖, and yet every single one of us does continue to sin – even those like you
& yours who have been ―saved‖, n'est ce pas?
