Lucy #298: At the end of this list of Scriptures you also mention Jude 1:7, a verse that
not only contradicts the accounts of both Ezekiel & Jesus related to the destruction of Sodom &
Gomorrah (see previous page &/or pages 513-514 herein), but a verse that at most condemns
homosexual lust, not homosexuality itself.
Lucy #299: You then go on to state, ―In this matter, the New Testament reinforces what
the Old Testament had declared since the Law was given to Moses. (Leviticus 20:13)‖
Yes, in this regard the New Testament does indeed confirm the Old Testament belief that
homosexual lust is indeed a sin – just like the lust regularly experienced by all of us – including
you & yours:
*… just like the heterosexual lust that causes millions of men & women to commit
adultery (see Deuteronomy 22:22);
*… and just like the heterosexual lust that inspires billions of men & women to fantasize
about having sex with someone other than their spouse (which, according to Jesus, also counts as
adultery – see Matthew 5:27-28);
*… and just like the heterosexual lust that might very well cause more than a few women
to lose their virginity before marriage (see Deuteronomy 22:13-21);
*… and just like the heterosexual lust that tempts most people to regularly masturbate
(see Genesis 38:3-10);
*… and just like the heterosexual lust that inspires more than a few men to covet their
neighbor‘s wives (see Deuteronomy 5:21);
*… and just like the heterosexual lust that leads many married couples to have sex
while the woman is on her period (see Leviticus 20:18).
So, why not mention any of these lust-based ―mortal sins‖ on your Facebook feed, my
Friend? They are certainly more insidious, clearly more prevalent, and often far more harmful
than homosexual lust ever has been or ever will be … So why not call them out as well, Lucy?
… Hmmmm – a bit of bigotry, perhaps?
