Lucy #481: Next, you quote from John 3:5-7 (which partly reads, ―Except a man be born of
water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God‖), and yet once again you leave out a
very important portion of the Scriptures – in this case the most important verse of all: which is
the very next verse, the one containing Jesus‘ summation of what he meant by ―born again‖;
namely, that for him being ―born again‖ (or ―born anew‖, from the Greek gennethe anothen – see
Strong‘s #1080 & #509) is not some sort of merit badge that we earn once and then blandly wear
for the rest of our lives, but is rather a tenuous state of being – a moment-specific reflection of
the perfect LOVE of the Father – one that we must continually re-choose and then continually
renew for the entirety of our lives!
Consider this oft-neglected verse well – and thereby awaken to his Way thereby …
―The wind* blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, and yet do not know
from where it comes or to where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit*.‖
~ Jesus Christ (John 3:8)
[*The Greek word ―pneuma‖ is translated as both ―wind‖ and Spirit‖ in this verse.]
